Inspired by the Duchess from Joico
There are everyday wearable hairstyles that we can walk out the door with. It’s rare if not never that we see inspirations of art created passing before us on the street while making our way to work. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t pieces of creativity all around us. Art can be expressed in many forms, and even the hair on our head can be used as a medium. While browsing through hair products to help with tips on hair care, I came across these photos. Deemed Duchess by creators at Joico, this vision expresses the duality that both raw and refined elements can co-exist to bring forth a truly modern statement.

Color design and cut can express dual personalities depending on how the hair is moved. Soft waves or edgy appeal both evoke emotion from the observer. The power in art is its ability to evoke emotion.
