Braids are not just for little girls. You can do so many stunning styles with it. Take Molly Sims as an example, look at how gorgeous she looks with just a slight half french braid on both sides of her part! This is perfect for an elegant holiday dinner and you can even take it out for a crazy holiday after party.

Step 1: If you have straight hair and want this wavy look, be sure to curl your hair first.  Part your hair and create a thin French braid using the front pieces on either side, stopping at the tips of your ears.

Gwen Stefani decks out with a dramatic teased updo! This look is for all our crazy risk takers. Gwen matched it with dramatic eye make-up and it pairs perfectly!

Step 1: Take a two-inch section of dry hair and hold it straight up on top. Use a tight-toothed comb and backcomb in short strokes along the back of the section toward your scalp. Repeat with all sections on top of your head.

Step 2: Use a natural bristle brush and smooth the hair on the surface as you gather it all in back. Twist and pin into place in back with the ends upward.

Step 3: Roll the ends around several fingers to create a pin curl, lay it flat against your head and pin into place.

Step 1: Brush hair back and secure in a high ponytail

Step 2: Twist several times until the hair buckles and forms a bun on the top of your head. Tuck the ends in and pin the bun securely into place.

Step 3: Add a headband and spritz with hairspray to lock in your look.

Step 1: Use a one-inch iron and softly curl the hair framing your face.

Step 2: Put your hair up in a super-loose ponytail so that the front drapes down right at chin-level (It’s okay if a few pieces fall free).

Step 3: Twist the ponytail and roll it under, right at the nape of your neck. Tuck it in so you can’t see the hair and secure with a few bobby pins!

Step 1: Mist a one-inch section of dry hair with styling spray and wrap the lower portion around a medium curling iron. Hold in place for a few seconds to set the curl and release. Repeat all over, rolling front sections away from your face.

Step 2: Leaving a few curls out in front, loosely sweep hair back and slightly to one side. Gather at the nape of your neck. Twist your length until the hair buckles upon itself to form a messy bun.

Step 3: Pin into place with the ends sprigging out. Spritz with hairspray to hold.

Step 3: Pin a mesh hairstyling form onto the top of your head and smooth the hair on top of your head over the form. Gather all hair in back and roll it vertically until it snugs up against the back of your head. Pin securely into place.
